Smithville – Geneva Clinese Little, 72, died on September 24, 2013, at North MS Medical Center, Tupelo. Born on June 17, 1941, in Itawamba County, she was a daughter of the late Anzie Collie and Bessie Lee Randolph Hargett.
Mrs. Little attended Pine Grove and Nettleton Schools and graduated from IJC with an LPN degree. On April 27, 1962, she married Huey Little. For 36 years, Mrs. Little was passionate about caring for her patients and working as an LPN with Gilmore Memorial Regional Medical Center. A Godly lady who was strong in her faith, she was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. An over-comer, Mrs. Little met every challenge with strong-will and determination. She enjoyed her family, reading, gardening, crossword puzzles, and cooking.
Survivors include her husband, Huey Little, Smithville; daughters, Ronda Little Martin, Lebanon, TN, and Angie Rhyne (Ricky), Fulton; son, Eddie Little, Smithville; sisters, Carolyn Vann (J. W.), Smithville and Patsy Ryan (Gary), Nettleton; brother, Leroy Hargett, Nettleton; grandchildren, Carley, Connor, and Chloe Wall; and Samuel Martin; step-grandchildren, David, Kristen, Lane, and Mollie; step-great-grandchildren, Emily, Andrew, and Makayla; 6 nieces and 5 nephews; and special friend, Carolyn Evans.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, A. C. Hargett, and a son-in-law, Eddie Martin.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 AM, Thursday, September 26 at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home with Bro. Terry Benton and Bro. Ray Carroll officiating. Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Harold Hathcock, C. J. Hathcock, Timmy Little, Anthony Little, Allen Guthrie, and Craig Ford.
Visitation will be from 5 – 8 PM, Wednesday at the funeral home.
