AMORY – Clifford Allen Parish, 65, died Saturday, July 24, 2010, at the North Mississippi Medical Center after a sudden illness. A native of Bigbee, he was a son of Elisha B. Parish and Rose Stanford Parish McKinney. He was a charter member and Trustee of Providence Baptist Church. Following 30 years of service, he retired from True Temper Sports. Prior to this, he had worked at Walker Manufacturing. He was a member of the Mississippi National Guard in Amory. He enjoyed fishing and riding motorcycles.A celebration of life service for Clifford Parish will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Providence Baptist Church with Bro. James Wilson, Bro. James Gillentine and Bro. Johnny Cherry officiating. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery. E.E. Pickle Funeral Home of Amory is in charge of arrangements. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Kathy Parish of Amory; daughters, Shawnda (William) Cooke of New Mexico, Pam (Jerry) Holcombe and Christy Bennett, both of Hamilton; son, Clint Parish of Amory; sister, Verna Mae Carroll of Amory; seven grandchildren, Zachary, Garrett and Kathryn Cooke, Trentt Taylor and Kayla, Brenaé and Jayden Bennett. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Beverly and Leroy Parish. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday and from 8:30 a.m. until service time Tuesday at Providence Baptist Church.
