Fulton – Lora Christine Davis, 78, died on Wednesday, January 4, 2012, at North MS Medical Center. Born on July 14, 1933, in the Carolina Community, she was a daughter of the late D. C. “Dick” and Dolly Brown Dobbins.Mrs. Davis attended Carolina Schools. Before becoming a homemaker, she had worked part-time at a beauty shop, full-time as an inspector with Sterilite in Homewood, AL, and as a daycare working at Grace United Methodist Church. Growing up Baptist and attending the Pentecostal church, she renewed her faith over a year ago. A loving, caring, and giving lady, Mrs. Davis’s life revolved around her family and grandchildren. Living life to the fullest, she enjoyed fishing, gardening, and listening to Fats Domino, Elvis, and Country music.A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, January 7 at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home with Bro. Ricky Pierce officiating. Burial will follow in New Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tim Russell, Roger Griffin, Jacky Langley, Gary Weatherford, Matt Goodwin, and Brad Mask.Visitation will be from 5 – 8 PM, Friday at the funeral home.Survivors include a daughter, Sandra Castaneda (René), Cullman, AL; son, Randy Freeman (Christine), Pell City, AL; grandchildren, Michael, Megan, and Ann Marie Freeman; sisters, Susie Shumpert, Evergreen Community and Betty Bishop, Fulton; brother, Ricky Dobbins, Carolina Community; and nieces and nephews, Tim Russell, Tammy Griffin, Tina Weatherford, Amy Dobbins, Christy Mask, Sharon Dobbins, and Anthony Bishop.In addition to her parents, Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace Freeman.Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at eepicklefuneralhome.com.
