Amory – Cheryl Allen Doolittle, 59, died Thursday, June 23, 2016, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo, MS. She was born on August 3, 1956, in Amory, to Joseph C. “Joe” and Claydeen Freeman Allen.
Cheryl was a 1974 graduate of Amory High School and attended MS State University. She worked as a License Practical Nurse and a caregiver. Cheryl was a member of First Baptist Church in Amory.
Survivors include her mother, Claydeen Allen, Amory; daughter, Laura Jo Worden (Ryan), Hot Springs, AR; son, Allen Doolittle, Starkville; grandchildren, Bailey Doolittle, Joybella Doolittle, Hyatt Doolittle, and Emory Worden; sister, Debbie Allen Boyd (Bill), Newnan, GA; brother, Greg Allen (Cindy), Tupelo; nieces and nephews, Lee Allen (Katy), Blake Allen, Matthew Fooshee (Gloria and son Kayden), Shelby Fooshee Smith (Casey), and Cody Fooshee (Heather); special friends, David Doolittle, Curt Pearce, and her black lab, Bear.
Cheryl was preceded in death by her father, Joseph “Joe” C. Allen, Jr.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will be from 1:00 – 3:00 pm, Sunday, June 26, 2016 at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home, Amory. Inurnment will follow on a later date in Masonic Cemetery.
