Charlotte Welch

Columbus, MS – Charlotte Cobb Welch passed away on June 18, 2024 in Columbus, MS at the Windsor Nursing Facility in Columbus, MS. She was born to Charles and Lois Sullivan Cobb in Haywood County Tennessee.

Charlotte graduated from High School and married Rev. Robert T. Welch on April 23, 1959. She was glad to work her whole life as a homemaker and she was blessed by God with two children. Being married to a Methodist Minister, Charlotte’s gift to others was her service and dedication to her Lord and secondly to her husband. Her family meant the world to her and she also loved her church family. She was a supportive mother and precious wife.

She enjoyed being with her family, reading the bible as well as all sorts of other material. She had a green thumb and enjoyed gardening and watching her flowers and plants grow. In her downtime, she liked to listen to Gospel and Rock and Roll music. A big supporter of St. Jude children's Research Hospital, Charlotte had a giving heart.

Charlotte will be missed dearly yet her family knows that she is in peace with her Savior.

She is survived by her daughter, Scarlet Elkin (Gary), of Columbus, MS; son, Ronald Welch, of Eupora, MS; grandchildren, Kayla and Lee Welch, Eupora, MS; sister, Ginger Reasons (Noonie), Memphis, TN; and brother, Dean Cobb of Bells, TN.

She was preceded in death by her best friend, Rev. Robert T. Welch; sister, Mae Simpson and her brother, Lyle Cobb.

A private burial took place at Haughton Memorial Park.
