Charlotte Archie Shamlin

Mrs. Charlotte Archie Shamlin, 70, passed away quietly, surrounded by her family, on Wednesday, March 7, 2018, at her residence, in the Cardsville community. Born on October 3, 1947 in Tupelo, MS, she was a daughter of the late Charles David Archie and Mary Francis Gray. Charlotte attended Dorsey schools and was a member of the Pine Grove Baptist Church in Nettleton. She married Jerry Shamlin on November 6, 1968.
Charlotte loved to fish for anything she could catch, enjoyed going to town and traveling. She loved to cook especially for her son-in-law. Her specialties were chicken and dressing and pineapple cake.
Her children and her grandchildren were her pride and joy. Her memory will always hold a special place in each of their hearts.
Charlotte Shamlin is survived her daughters, Sheila (Jed) Moore, Cardsville, Phebee (Ronnie) Rains, Jonesboro, Arkansas; son, Jerry (Tammy) Shamlin, Jr., Shannon; Sisters, Floria Blaylock, Fulton, Erma (Bubba) McGhee, Aberdeen; brothers, David Earl (Gina) Archie, Peaceful Valley, MS, Timmy (Nancy) Archie, Golden, MS; Grandchildren: Cody and Kaitlyn Renfroe, Madison Moore, B.J., and Adam Chatman, Trey and Alexis Shamlin; Great-Grandchildren: Maddox Renfroe, Emma Grace Shamlin, Ashtin Breeze Scott; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Shamlin, and a brother, Billy Archie.
A celebration of life service for Mrs. Charlotte Archie Shamlin will be at 2:00 PM, Friday, March 9, 2018 at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home Chapel, Amory. Bro. B.J. Chatman and Bro. Eddie McMillen will be officiating. Burial will follow in Keyes Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jon Loague, Jonathan Archie, Brandon Kent, Trey Shamlin, Cody Renfroe, and Adam Chatman. Honorary pallbearer will be Eddie McMillen.

Visitation for Mrs. Shamlin will be from 5-8 PM on Thursday, March 8, 2018 at the funeral home.
