Hatley- Charles G. Kinsey, 81, died Sunday, January 6, 2013 at his residence. Born December 20, 1931, he was a son of the late Albert Eddie Kinsey Sr. and Fannie Musclewhite Kinsey. He married Betty Mangum Kinsey in 1959.
Mr. Kinsey grew up and attended school in Attala County, MS. He was a member of Hatley Missionary Baptist Church and a Korean War Veteran. He was retired from Georgia Gulf. He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed spending time with his family, playing music, and gardening.
He is survived by his wife, Betty, of 53 years; daughters, Tiawana Kinsey and Melanie Sudduth, both of Amory; brother, J.R. Kinsey (Billie) of Olive Branch; sister, Ruby Oulette of Memphis; grandchildren, Shaun Kinsey, Brittany Ausbon, Glenn Reese, Jessica Reese, and Cory Kinsey; great grandchildren, Katlynn Kirkland and Daniel Reese; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his son, Van Kinsey, 4 sisters and 2 brothers.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2 PM, Thursday, January 10, 2013 at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home with Bro. Sidney McLeod and Bro. Dean Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Hatley Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Glenn Zwakh, Harry Tomazak Jr., Jody Cagle, Brian Oulette, Allen Williams and James Reese. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Gerald Parker, Carl Lindsey, Wayne Lindsey, and John Walden.
Visitation will be Wednesday, January 9, 2013 from 5 PM- 8PM at the funeral home.
