Cecile Elizabeth Pace, 71, passed away at her residence in Greenwood Springs on November 25, 2016. She was surrounded by her family and friends. She was a daughter of the late Lemuel and Cecile Genyet Dewitt. Cecile was born on January 9, 1945 in Springfield, Illinois. She attended school at George Washington High School in Springfield, Illinois.
Cecile was a member of the pioneer group. She loved to draw and color. She also loved to play card games and would make her own jewelry. Most of all, she loved to be around her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Cecile is survived by her daughter, Cecile Buckner (Paul), Smithville, sons, Curtis Pace, Stanley Pace both of Greenwood Springs; Sisters: Annette Hodge (Joe), Odin, Ill; Yoven Lash, Springfield, Ill; her brother, Albert Dewitt, Sherman Ill, Grandchildren: Matthew Pace (Brittany), Jeremy Pace (Shawna), Brenda Pace, Jenette McCuller, Mark Sanders (Le Anna), Justin Bryant, Cody Pace, Dustin Buckner, Camron Buckner (Denise), Nicole Wagner, Timothy Lecure; Great-Grandchildren: Nathaniel Pace, Makayln Pace, Landon and Dawson Pace, Natalie Lecure, Eli Zimmerman, Kaiden Sanders, Bella and Triton Pace, Harlie Jo-Lynn and Temperance Wagner, Olivia Buckner, Jayden Pace.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a daughter, Tina Pace; sons: Johnny Pace; Sisters: Janet Sue Davis, Mary Ann Pace, a brother, Alfred Dewitt; grandchildren, Johnny Pace, Jr and Kathryn Pace.
Graveside services for Cecile Elizabeth Pace will be at 3:00 PM, Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at New Hope Cemetery. Bro. Robert Earl Fowlkes will be officiating. Pallbearers will be Tim Lecure, Jeremy Pace, Matt Pace, Cody Pace, Albert Dewitt, Dale Boozer and Roger Lecure.
Visitation will be from 1:00 – 2:30, November 30 at E.E Pickle Funeral Home in Amory.
