Catherine grew up in close knit family in Monroe County. She attended school for a short while and began helping her family out during the great depression. Catherine married the love of her life, Earnest L Allen on February 26, 1944, in Monroe County and together they shared many wonderful years until he passed in 1982. Catherine was a faithful member since 1954 of the Nettleton Church of Jesus Christ. Catherine loved to listen to Old Hymns and Gospel music. She had a soft spot for the less fortunate and was always willing to lend a hand to others.
In her free time, she loved to shop for clothes and shoes and look for unusual antiques. Catherine loved to travel and visited many places during her lifetime.
