Aberdeen – Carolyn Willhite Irvin, 74, passed away on April 3, 2023, at her residence in Aberdeen, Mississippi. She was born on Independence Day, July 4, 1948 in Aberdeen, MS, to the late Berley Willhite and Ruby West Willhite.
Carolyn grew up in Monroe County. She had a very important job growing up, she was a loving wife and mother to the family God blessed her with. She married Clayton Irvin and they were blessed with two children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Carolyn loved her family dearly and loved the Lord. She was of the Pentecostal Faith and enjoyed spending time with her family more than anything. Her daughter “Teresa” and her sister “Ruby Morris” were especially close to Carolyn and they made many great memories through the years.
In her free time, she liked to watch tv and listen to Country music. Carolyn enjoyed visiting with others yet she always was a straight shooter, telling you what she thought without sugar coating anything. She was an excellent cook and always was making great meals for her family. All the great memories made through the years will be cherished forever by her family and friends. She was passionate about taking care of others and she especially liked contributing to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, TN.
