Carolyn Leech

Amory – Eva Carolyn Leech, 69, died on Sunday, November 18, 2012, at Gilmore Memorial Regional Medical Center. Born on November 11, 1943, in Itawamba County, she was a daughter of the late Vester and Edna Rusha Hutson Leech.

Carolyn was a graduate of Tremont High School. Before retiring, she worked as a Finance and Insurance representative for several automotive dealerships. Carolyn was a member of St. Andrews United Methodist Church. Having the ability to overcome a massive stroke when she was 47, Carolyn’s determination to stay independent was an inspiration to everyone with whom she came in contact. She enjoyed watching sports and listening to Country and Gospel music.

She is survived by her brother, Ellie Don Leech (Betty), Amory; nieces and nephew, Marsha Tapscott, Michael Leech, and Loyce Riggan.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Cody and a niece, Joyce Dill.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 AM, Tuesday, November 20 at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home with Bro. Tommy Whaley officiating. Burial will follow in Masonic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Michael Leech, Zach Leech, Darwyn Riggan, Chad Dill, Curt Pearce, and Nathan Wilbanks.

Visitation will be from 5 – 7 PM, Monday at the funeral home.
