Carolyn Faye Heard Hale

Aberdeen – Carolyn Faye Heard Hale, 74, was reunited with her daughter and met her Savior face to face on May 26, 2023. She was born on January 24, 1949, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, to the late Grover E. Heard and Opal Inez Brinson Heard.

Carolyn grew up in Louisiana in a large family and graduated from LaGrange Senior High School in Lake Charles, Louisiana. She worked for over 20 years as the Business Office Manager of St. Patrick Hospital in Lake Charles, Louisiana. On March 24, 1973, she married the love of her life, Bro. William “Bill” Hale, Jr. and together they were blessed by God with two daughters. He affectionately labeled her as an angel on earth. She was a supportive wife and happily honored the call to ministry her husband had in life. Carolyn was an amazing mother who was patient, kind and caring. For over 43 years, she cared for her disabled daughter Lacie, never tiring, always faithful, in putting her daughter’s needs first. Carolyn lived her faith daily and her love for Jesus was apparent to anyone who met her.

She was always active in any church that her husband helped lead. Being a Pentecostal Preacher’s wife, she knew her gift to the Lord was being the supportive and loving wife and mother enabling him to focus on leading others to Christ. She worked for over 20 years as an administrator of a Christian School. Carolyn’s passion in life was to take care of others and that was how she gave in missions. She served her family, friends and strangers that crossed her path in life. In addition to her sisters and brother, she had so many close friends it would be hard to mention them all. In addition to taking care of her disabled daughter, in her free time, she liked to listen to Gospel music, travel with family and friends, and spend time with her pets.

All the memories made through the years will be cherished. There is no doubt that she cherished the grace of Jesus and her humble serving heart will be found worthy. Her family and friends will miss her dearly yet they know that she is totally healed and reunited with her sweet Lacie. Until we meet again Carolyn.

She is survived by her husband, Bro. Bill Hale, Aberdeen; daughter, Chloe Hale, Aberdeen, MS; sisters, Diannah Baumgarten (Bob), and Pam Bailey (Buddy); brother, Gary Heard (Suki); sister-in-law, Tasca Heard; a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Lacie Hale; brothers, Roy Arwood and Dwight Heard.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Caledonia United Pentecostal Church, Caledonia, MS with Bro. Charles Nugent, Bro. Grant Mitchell, Bro. Henry Smith. Bro. Charles Petty, Bro. Gary Porterfield and Bro. Steve Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Haughton Memorial Park with Pallbearers being Grant Heard, Brent Witsman, Aaron Bailey, Zachary Baskin, Jeff Royer, Cary Arwood, and Dusty Witsman. Honorary Pallbearers will be David Knight, Rick Frazier, Dale Reese, Rusty Reynolds, Coy Hill and Richard Petty.

Visitation for family and friends will be at the church in Caledonia from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm at the service hour.
