Hatley—Carol Jeanette Yagar, 54, passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2019 at NMMC-Gilmore in Amory. Born in Aberdeen on April 16, 1965, she was a daughter Martha Ann Roberts Prestage and the late L.C. Prestage.
Carol was simply a southern woman with a free spirit and a heart of gold. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing in her free time. She always helped others in need and would do anything for anybody. Carol loved her family and shared a lifetime of precious memories as she watched her children grow up to become parents of their own. Called “Old Timer” by her grandkids, she was dearly loved by each of them. She will be missed, but her presence will always be felt by her loved ones.
Carol is survived by her mother, Martha Prestage; daughter, Christina Murphy (Brian), Stewart, MS; sons, James Hall (Alicia), of Florence, MS; Andrew Hall (Monica), Hamilton, MS; Justin Hall (Analise), Smithville; grandchildren, Tyler Phillips (Briana), Abigail Phillips, Hunter Hall, Austin Hall, Mickenzie Hall, Knox Rhoden, Locklyn Rhoden, Kaylee Brooke Hall, Karson Hall, Parker Hall, Maverick Hall, Koralynn Hall; sisters, Barbara Hudson, Wash Nash, Sandra Hulsey (Rick); brothers, Tommy Jo Prestage, Lewis Prestage, Larry Prestage; and several nieces and nephews.
Carol was preceded in death by her father, L.C. Prestage; grandson, Aiden Hall; and brothers, Billy Prestage and David Prestage.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 2-5 PM on Sunday, December 29, 2019 at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home Chapel in Amory.
