Carl D. Weaver

Oakland, TN - Carl David Weaver, 74, passed away Saturday, February 27, 2016 after a brief illness. He was born in Smithville, MS to the late Arna and Addie Mae Clark Weaver.

Carl graduated from Smithville High School, attend Itawamba Junior College, and received his Bachelors of Science from Mississippi State University. He work most of his career as a Civil Servant for the Government. He retired in 1996 as the Director of NETPMSA in Millington, TN

Carl was an avid golfer, gardener, and woodworker. He was a member of the West Tennessee Senior Golf Association and the Somerville Country Club. He loved to spend time with his family and grandchildren.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 53 years, Joan Freeze Weaver; son, Jim Weaver (Donna), Oakland, TN; daughter Ava Witt (Paul), Collierville, TN; grandchildren, Chandler Elise Witt, Hastin Witt, Henley Witt, and J.D. Weaver; sister, Dale Weaver Guins, Canton, MS; and a large extended family.

Visitation will be Saturday, March 5, 2016 from 12:00 to 1:50pm at the E.E. Pickle Funeral Home, Amory, MS.; graveside services will immediately follow at Haughton Memorial Park in Amory.

Donations, in lieu of flowers, may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or the American Cancer Society.
