Hamilton –Brenda E. Rasberry, 68, died on Friday, March 23, 2012, at NMMC, Tupelo. Born on July 24, 1943, in Amory, she was the daughter of the late Hubert Earl and Bertie Lee Mize Raden.
Brenda played basketball while attended Hamilton High School. On May 8, 1970, she married Joe Rasberry. For many years, she worked as a seamstress and a thread lady with Sharp Manufacturing. Brenda also worked at Michelle’s Restaurant and 45 Truck Stop in Hamilton. She was a member of Prairie Baptist Church. A loving lady who always saw the best in others, Brenda looked forward to cooking breakfast for her family every Sunday. Always helping others and having never met a stranger, she enjoyed fishing, crocheting, crossword puzzles, and playing games on the computer.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 PM, Sunday, March 25 at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home with Bro. Dempsey Rowland and Bro. Robert E. Fowlkes officiating. Burial will follow in Bourland Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Joe Tipton, Ricky Honeycutt, Matt Poe, Michael Spruill, Eddie Moffett, and Bill Cobb.
Visitation will be from 5 – 8 PM, Saturday at the funeral home.
She is survived by her husband, Joe Rasberry, daughter, Julie Spruill (Thomas), and sons, Mike Raden (Sheila), Randy Duncan, and Frankie Rasberry (Sherry), all of Hamilton; grandchildren, Cory Duncan, Jennifer Spruill Poe, Michael Spruill, Ashley Spruill, Callie Peters, Michael Orell, and Jesse Rasberry; great-grandchild, Nathanial Duncan, and two great-grandchildren to arrive in April, Madisyn Lee-Anne Duncan and Brendan Freddie Wayne Poe; sister-in-law, Johnnie Ray; and special friends, Eddie Moffett, Mike Lewis, Robbie Harrell.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Ray “Little Charles” Raden, and a close friend, Jeffie Harrell.
