Brenda Griffin Mcbunch

Amory – Brenda Griffin McBunch, 66, passed away on Wednesday, May 17, 2017, at her residence. Born on May 21, 1950, in Okolona, she was a daughter of the late Curtis Spencer and Rosie Mae Pickens Griffin.
Brenda graduated from Okolona High School and furthered her education in Nursing at Itawamba Community College. She loved the Lord and was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church. She married her soul mate, Bro. Billy Mc Bunch, on September 9, 1979 and together they were blessed with two children. Brenda was an R.N. who worked at North Mississippi Medical Center, Nettleton School District, and as a home health care nurse. She was a caring and compassionate lady with a big heart who always put others first.
The most important thing to Brenda was her faith in God, and she instilled this faith in her family. She enjoyed spending time with her family and spoiling her grandchildren. She loved being outdoors. Brenda was blessed with a “green thumb” and was an avid gardener. She enjoyed fishing with her family, even though she didn’t like to eat the fish. She had a great sense of humor, and she will be missed dearly by all who were blessed to know her.
Survivors include a daughter, Faith McDaniel (Brandon), Amory; son, David McBunch (Courtney), Amory; grandchildren, Landon and Elijah McDaniel; Chandler McBunch, Amory; sisters, Pat Goodson, Wren, and Donna Lindley (James), Shannon; several nieces and nephews; numerous special friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bro. Mc Bunch; sister, Ruby Page; brother-in-law, Henry Goodson.
Her Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3:00 PM, Friday, May 19, 2017, at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home with Bro. Bubba Kennedy and Bro. Robert Fowlkes officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jerry Reese, Ronnie Hester, Buddy Chism, Junior McDaniel, Talmadge Wayne Griffin, Gary Monaghan, Brandon Lindley and Tommy Bullard.
Visitation will be on Friday, May 19, 2017 from 1:00-2:45 PM at the funeral home.
Donations in lieu of flowers may be given to the Amory Animal Shelter, 1317 Old Hwy 6, Amory, MS 38821.
