Nettleton – Brenda Shelton Hallmark, 69, died on Thursday, December 31, 2015 at North Mississippi Medical Center, Tupelo, MS. Born February 14, 1946 in Amory, she was a daughter of the late Henry Grady and Annie Bell Beasley Shelton.
A graduate of Smithville High School she entered the workforce early in life. Brenda worked for Red Kap as a Seamstress. She was a loving mother of three children and great grandmother. She was of the Baptist faith and liked to stay at home, reading novels. She enjoyed watching the television, especially Hallmark Movies and westerns. She liked to work in the garden, cook and spend time with her precious grandchildren. Brenda was a talented cook and she often watched the cooking shows. She made the best broccoli casserole around. When it came to music, Brenda loved old country music, especially Conway Twitty. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, January 2, 2015 at Young Memorial Garden, Smithville with Bro. David Highland officiating. Pallbearers will be Roger Phelps, Malcolm barker, Curtis Lowry, C.J. Cunningham, Hunter Culver, Cory Geno, and Jose Magallon.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. on Saturday at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home, Amory.
Survivors include her daughter, Angela Doss (Timothy), Tupelo; sons, Danny Alred (Daphne), Smithville, Andy Culver (fiancé, Amber Stanford), Amory; eleven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Wayne Shelton, Rapheal Shelton, and Halbert Shelton; sister, Carolyn Isbell.
