Brenda Joy Forrester

Kennedy, AL—Brenda Joy Forrester, 62, passed away at her residence on Tuesday, January 16, 2018. Born on September 1, 1955 in Amory, she was a daughter of Pearl Strevel and Oliver Tate Sr.

During her life, Brenda was a cashier for Walmart in Brookhaven and as a waitress at Nonies Truck Stop in Shannon for many years. She loved driving trucks and listening to Country music, especially Vince Gill. In her free time, she liked to watch wrestling. Brenda loved to take rides on Sundays and cherished her afternoons spent with her grandkids. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. Brenda was of the Baptist faith and read her bible faithfully. Brenda will live on forever in the hearts of her loved ones, who take comfort in knowing they will be reunited again one day.

Brenda is survived by her sons, Jonathan Patterson, Tupelo, Patrick Forrester (Kasey Cobb), Kennedy; grandchildren, Jayden Forrester, Hayden Womac, Makienze Forrester, Sapphire Nicole Irby, Peyton Forrester; sisters, Frances Tate, Brookhaven, Sheila Tate, Hatley; brothers, Oliver Tate Jr., Hatley, Rocky Tate, OH; and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Ivy Nicole Forrester and Jennifer Tate.

A funeral service for Brenda will be held at 2PM Monday, January 22, 2018, at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home, with Bro. Robert Earl Fowlkes officiating. Pallbearers will be Anthony Bhario, Devin Tate, Brad Odom, Adam Buckner, Samson Buckner, and Shane Rodriguez. Burial will follow in Durrent Cemetery, Quincy.

Visitation will be from 12-1:50PM on Monday at the funeral home.
