Smithville – Brenda Ann Walls Ford, 61, died on Monday, June 13, 2011 at Gilmore Memorial Regional Medical Center in Amory. Born on July 21, 1949 in Wynne, Arkansas, she was the daughter of the late Madison Griffin and Ruth Monoghan Walls.
Brenda attended Amory and Hatley Schools. She married William C. Ford on June 29, 1966, in Gattman. Her family was most important to her, including her cats and dogs. She was a member of St. Matthews United Methodist Church and attended Tabernacle Baptist Church in Nettleton. Brenda enjoyed country and gospel music. She loved singing and dancing with her husband William.
She is survived by her husband, William Cecil Ford of Smithville; her daughter, Tammi Ford Hathcock (Darwin) of Smithville; son, Chris Ford (Dana) of Smithville; sister, Betty Joe Reich (Wayne) of Tremont; brother, G. W. Walls (Jean) of Amory; 3 grandchildren, Joshua Austin and Hannah Brooke Hathcock, and Kyla Brooke Ford; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 AM, Thursday, June 16, 2011 at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home, Amory with Bro. Truman Carter, Bro. Lewis Coker and Bro. Tommy Whaley officiating. Burial will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery. Pallbearers will be John Walls, Joey White, Joe, Jared and Zack McGonagill, Josh Hathcock, and Chad Jones.
Visitation will be at the funeral home from 5 – 8 PM, Wednesday, June 15 and Thursday June 16 until service time.
