Amory- Bonnie McAnally Hume, 87, died Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at Oak Tree Manor in Amory. Born May 26, 1926 in Arkansas, she was a daughter of Charley B. and Zelda English McAnally.
Growing up in Monroe County she attended area schools and went to nursing school in California. Moving to Toledo, OH, she worked most of her nursing career there. Catholic in her faith, she was associated with St. Helens Catholic Church in Amory. She enjoyed reading and bingo.
She is survived by her son, Allen Wayne McAnally (Linda), Tallahassee; step children, Richard Hume, Lorne Hume, Jr., Carolyn, Kathy, Mildred and Cindy; sisters, Daisy Jones, Becker, Shirley Morgan (Jimmy), Becker, Hazel Thompson, TX and Katie Nordstrom (Paul), Tampa; brother, Don McAnally (Ruth), Nauvoo, AL; several grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Lorne Hume; children, Angela, Angela, Nicky Rizzuto, Philip Rizzuto, Jerry Rizzuto, Bonny Jean; sisters, Dolly Vail and Georgia Kovarcik; brother, Charley McAnally.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 4pm, Friday, November 15, 2013 at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home with Bro. Tommy Whaley officiating.
Visitation will be Friday evening prior to the service from 2-3:45pm.
