Bonna Wallace Stuart
Amory— Bonna Wallace Stuart, 84, passed away on Sunday, September 30, 2018 at Country Wood Manor, Mantachie. Born in the Dorsey community on July 2, 1934, she was the daughter of Troy Edgar and Minta Marie Wood Wallace.
Bonna graduated from Dorsey High School. She obtained her Associate’s Degree from ICC and also attended The “W” for one semester. Bonna married her sweetheart, Harry, and together they raised a family. She was a faithful member of Meadowood Baptist Church. Throughout her life, she was a homemaker and a gifted seamstress. She could sew anything. Bonna was always very creative in her projects.
Bonna enjoyed spending much of her time with her loved ones and attending family gatherings. She was very devoted to the late Harry Stuart, whom she loved dearly. Bonna always had a sense of adventure and enjoyed travelling the world. She travelled to the Holy Land, Nova Scotia, and all across Europe. She also enjoyed taking road trips. Bonna was a special lady who will stay in the hearts of her loved ones forever. She will be dearly missed.
Bonna is survived by her daughter, Tina Stuart Wade, Belden; sons, Jeb Stuart, Bay St. Louis, Andy Stuart (Connie), Saltillo; grandchildren, Drew Stuart (Katie), Josh Stuart, Blake Stuart, Anna Katherine Stuart, Sarah Grace Wade, John Stuart Wade; great-grandchildren John Andrew Stuart, Jackson Bruce Stuart; a host of nieces and nephews; and special friends, Buddy and Mavis Chism.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Col. Harry J. Stuart.
Her funeral service will be held at 2PM Wednesday, October 3 at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home, with Dr. Jimmy Stewart leading the service. Burial will follow in Harmony Cemetery. Pallbearers will include Bonna’s grandsons, great-grandsons, and Buddy Chism.
Visitation will be from 5-7 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
