Amory – Bobbye Lou Clements, 83, passed away on Monday, August 8, 2016, at Golden Living Center. Born on July 29, 1933, in Okolona, she was a daughter of the late Kye Thomas and Bessie Evans Sullivan Thompson.
Bobbye graduated from Okolona High School, Class of 1950. On January 5, 1954, she married Tommy Clements; they were married 59 years. Bobbye was a homemaker and the ultimate mom. She was always cleaning and preparing great home-cooked meals. Life’s priorities were her faith and family. As a dedicated mother, Bobbye was loving, giving, and very unselfish. She was an active member of First Presbyterian Church, having served as a Sunday school and Vacation Bible school teacher, and was active with women in the church.
Always caring for others, Bobbye had served as a library assistant and a child caregiver. With her family, she enjoyed camping, boating at Pickwick, and going to antique shops. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Betsy Bailey (Jim), Vicksburg; sons, Bill Clements (Jamie), Amory, and Paul Clements (Nancy), Tupelo; grandchildren, Lindsey Turner (Dan), Megan C. Sanders (Chris), Jason Clements, Garrett Scott (Mandy), Pete Scott (Aly), Dylan Scott (Caitlin); great-grandchildren, Van Scott, Drake Turner, and Christian Sanders; nieces and nephews, Kye, Ken, and David Eubanks; Rebecca Nicholson; Robbie and Stan Doss; Nancy Skelton.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband and soulmate, Tommy; sister, Betty Eubanks, and brother-in-law, James Eubanks.
Her Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM, Wednesday, August 10 at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home with Dr. Tom Cheatham officiating. Burial will follow in Masonic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Garrett Scott, Pete Scott, Dylan Scott, Jason Clements, Danny Jones, and Bill Caldwell.
Visitation will be from 5 – 8 PM, Tuesday at the funeral home.
