Born on January 30, 1938, in Lake County, TN, he was a son of the late William Essery and Ila Mae Allen White.Growing up in the Tiptonville and Realfoot Lake, TN, areas, Bobby married Lola Franks on August 7, 1967. Moving to Amory in 1968, and working at Jones Motor Company for six years, he opened and operated Bob’s Repair Shop for 37 years. A hard-working and natural-born mechanic, Bobby had the gift of being able to quickly diagnose and fix the problem. He attended Pearce Chapel Free Will Baptist Church. Growing up farming, he enjoyed riding tractors. A loving and independent husband, father, and grandfather, Bobby was the rock of his family. He enjoyed listening to Country music, rabbit hunting, and working on automobiles.He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Lola White, Amory; daughters, Glenda Gray (Dickie), Plantersville and Rhonda White, Azusa, CA; son, Gary White (Ann), Benton, AR; sisters, Pauline Bennel, Pontotoc, Shirley Sapp, Saltillo, Brenda White, Palmetto Community, and Linda Newman (David), Olive Branch; brothers, Harold White (Catherine) Hickman, KY, Carl Lee White (Dorothy) Saltillo, and Doyle White (Cathy) Pontotoc; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1 PM, Monday, October 31 at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home with Bro. Van Hudson officiating. Burial will follow in Fellowship Cemetery, Saltillo. Pallbearers will be Don Barnes, Harlan Prestridge, Steve Morris, Paul Upton, Charles Holloway, and Michael Schomp.
