Amory – Bobby Junior Richey, 64, began his new life in Heaven on September 23, 2021. He was born on March 18, 1957, in Midland Texas to Shirley Hill Steinke.
Bobby grew up in a large family in Monroe County and graduated from Amory High School with the class of 1973. Based on his raising, Bobby learned the value of good honest work with his hands. He had a great work ethic and was skilled as a brick layer. Many the days and years he spent outdoors, working in tough weather conditions, so that he could provide for his family. He married the love of his life, Nancy, on July 13, 1980, and together they were blessed with two children and three grandchildren. He loved Nancy and they shared many memories through the years.
A recent born again Christian, Bobby was Baptized just a couple months ago, as he believed whole heartedly that Jesus died on the cross to save him. He was a loving husband and caring father to his family. Bobby liked to listen to country music with George Strait being one of his favorite artists. In his free time, he enjoyed watching wrestling, westerns and college football. Above all, in his down time he especially enjoyed spending time with his kids, nieces and grandchildren.
He will be missed dearly but his family and friends know that he is completely healed and with Jesus. They will cherish all the memories made through the years.
Bobby is survived by his loving wife, Nancy Haughton Richey, Amory; mother, Shirley Hill Steinke; son, Eric Richey (Shelly), Pontotoc; daughter, Kayla Richey; grandchildren, Micheal Richey, Brittney Richey and Leanna Richey; sisters, Shirley Jean Price, Linda Steinke, Brenda Steinke and Jessica Sloan(Donnie); brothers, Kenneth Steinke (Mary Jo), and Charles Steinke (Jaime); nieces Nicole Benton and Tina Benton.
He was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Crystal Richey; his father, Ervin Steinke.
