Lawrenceville, GA- Bobby “Bob” Donald Harmon, Sr. died Thursday, April 17, 2014 at Community Hospice in Verona. Born October 6, 1939 in Becker he was a son of John and Inez Kendrick Harmon.
He was a 1957 graduate of Amory High School, of the Methodist faith and was employed by Mississippi Valley Gas, Castle Company, Clark Forklift in Tupelo, and later retired as a project manager with Tru Green Landcare. An avid sports fan, he enjoyed baseball, Nascar Racing, Atlanta Falcons football and all Mississippi State University sport. He enjoyed being with his family and his dog, Sadie.
He is survived by his daughter, Caroline Brasfield (Mike), Amory; sons, Bobby Donald Harmon II (Sue), Lawrenceville, GA and Randy Harmon (Rene), Lawrenceville, GA; sisters, Miriam Kirkpatrick (Jimmie), Becker and Faye Banks, Brandon, MS; grandchildren, Dalton Smith, Hope Smith both of Amory, Bobby “Bo” Harmon (Victoria), Brasleton, GA, Hilary, Hailey and Tristen Harmon, all of Lawrenceville, GA and Justin Aguiar; nieces and nephews, Jim Kirkpatrick, Kathy Vann, Frank Banks, Don Harmon; great niece, Mandi Cobb Beckham, Greenville.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Wanda Lee; brother, Douglas Harmon; nieces, Patty Cobb and Ginger Lee.
Graveside Service will be held at 3:30pm Saturday, April 19, 2014 at Haughton Memorial Park with Rev. Glyn Wiygul officiating. Pallbearers will be Edwin Hathcock, Terry McCary, Wes Kirkpatrick, Dalton Smith, Bo Harmon and Justin Aguiar.
Visitation will be at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home Saturday from 2:30pm- 3:15pm when we will go to Haughton Memorial Park in procession.
