Wren- Bobby W. Clark, 75, died Friday, March 29, 2013 at Riverplace Nursing Facility, in Amory. Born November 29, 1937, he was the son of the late Allen and Ethel Moss Clark. He married Ellen Finley in 1957.
A lifelong resident of Wren, Mr. Clark attended and graduated from Wren School and retired from BNSF Railway as a conductor, with over 40 years of service, and was affiliated with the Christian Church, and was the property coordinator at Coontail Cemetery. Being a railroader, and having a caboose in his backyard, he enjoyed talking about his days on the railroad and reminiscing on days past, gardening, farming, and being with his dog, Frisco. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren, who affectionately called him “Pop.” His greatest accomplishment was taking care of his wife of over 55 years, who had been sick for the last 2 years.
He is survived by his wife, Ellen Finley Clark; daughter, Beth Gann (Tommy), Wren; son, Joe Clark, Wren; sister, Carolyn Huffman; grandchildren, Caleb Gann, Leah Gann, and Curtis Clark all of Wren; and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 PM, Sunday March 31, at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home in Amory, with Bro. David Pannell officiating. Burial will follow in Coontail Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Caleb Gann, Mike and Richard Huffman, and David Strawbridge. Honorary pallbearers will be his railroad buddies.
Visitation will be Saturday, March 30 at the funeral home from 5 PM- 8 PM.
