Amory, Miss.—Bobby Ray Camp, Sr., 64, died on Tuesday, December 24, 2013 at his home. Born June 25, 1949, he was a son of Dannie and Nell Gray Camp.
He was a 1967 graduate of Amory High School and he was married to Glenda Reed on June 13, 1967. Before his retirement, he was a welder for Babcock-Wilcox and he attended Antioch Baptist Church. A great cook, he was known as a master griller and he enjoyed cooking for and spending time with his family.
A Celebration of Life service will be 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 28, 2013 at the E.E. Pickle Funeral Home Chapel in Amory with Bro. Danny Carl Burks and Bro. Robert Earl Fowlkes officiating. Burial will be in the Greenbrier Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Glenda Reed Camp of Amory; one daughter, Caren Harbin (John) of Amory; two sons, Bobby R. Camp, Jr. of Amory and Ritchie Camp (Hilery) of Amory; 9 grandchildren, Bobby Ray Camp, III (Rebecca), Brandon Craig Camp (Elyse), Madison Camp, Abbie Grace Camp, Hayden Dozier, William Blake Summerford, Ryleigh Summerford, Taylor Harbin, and Kylie Harbin; and 3 great grandchildren, Blair Camp, Daltyn Camp, and Lilli Camp.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Gray, Jimmy Arnold, Ellis Mitchell, Larry Adams, Donnie Myatt, and Ricky Camp.
Visitation will be 5 until 8 p.m. on Friday evening and will continue until service time on Saturday at the funeral home.
