Hamilton - Bobby Neal Beasley departed this world to go home to be with his Lord on Saturday, May 14, 2011. Bobby was born in Double Springs, Alabama, but made his home in Hamilton, MS.
Bobby retired from the United States Air Force in 1987 but continued to support his country and the military he loved so much. A Vietnam vet, he stood behind our troops, and always stood to salute the flag because it was the thing you do. He loved his church, and church family, but he was devoted to his beloved wife and children.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Louvada Pope Beasley of Scottsboro, AL, and Richard A. Beasley of Brilliant, AL; two brothers, Howard Beasley, of Double Springs, AL, and Billy Beasley of Lake Placid, FL. He has gone on ahead to that beautiful Beulah Land, leaving behind for yet a little while, his wife of 27 years, Katie Peavy Beasley of Hamilton, MS; 9 sons and 2 daughters, Robert W. of Columbus, MS, David Scott and wife Cindy, of Wichita Falls, TX, Steven and wife Brenda of Columbus, MS, Alvin and wife Dana of Caledonia, MS, Noella Reuter and husband Gary of Stevens City, VA, BobbiAnn Waterson and husband Alex of Murfreesboro, TN., Thomas and wife Connie, U.S.M.C. Base Okinawa, Japan, Tim and daughter Alexis of Hamilton, MS, David Allen and Ashley, of Strong, MS, Harley and wife Stephanie of Saltillo, MS, Benz of Hamilton, MS; one sister, Helen Brewer of Brilliant, AL; two brothers Kenneth and wife Diane of Royal Palm Beach, FL, and Coy and Wife Betty of Panama City, FL; a sister-in-law Essie of Lake Placid, FL; numerous nieces and nephews; 26 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 10:30 AM, Thursday at Antioch Baptist Church, Columbus. In lieu of flowers, the family ask donations be made to the Wounded Warriors Project, www.woundedwarriorproject.org/ , 4899 Belfort Rd., Ste. 300, Jacksonville, FL 32256.
