Nettleton – Bobbie J. Edwards, 74, died on Thursday, March 20, 2014, at North MS Medical Center. Born on September 12, 1939, she was a daughter of Claude and Ada Lee Boyd Curry. She married Doyce Lee Edwards August 8, 1955.
Growing up in Wren, she attended Wren School, was a member of Liberty Baptist Church and retired from Action Industries as a seamstress with more than 20 years of service. A Christian lady, her life was led by her faith and love for God. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed listening to gospel music, reading her Bible and working word puzzles.
She is survived by her daughters, Becky Neal (Thomas), Nettleton, Rhonda Amundsen (Bob), Oxford, Amy Edwards, Nettleton, and Lisa McKinney (Chuck), Nettleton; son, Greg Edwards (Carol), of Blue Springs; grandchildren, Chad Neal, Matt Edwards, Christi Neal, Lori Braxton, Amanda Morris, Brandon Neal, Morgan Poley, Allison Smith, Laken McKinney, Dakota Edwards, Drew Edwards, Anna Grace McKinney, Brody McKinney, Marian Amundsen ad Ellen Jeffs; 14 great-grandchildren; sisters, Gail Legon, Alice Nicholson, Geneva Edwards and Inez Langford; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Doyce L. Edwards, of nearly 50 years; son, Steven R. Edwards and a sister, Maytee Riley.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 PM, Sunday, March 23, 2014 at Bethel Baptist Church, Nettleton with Bro. Mac Phillips and Bro. Thomas Neal officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Chad Neal, Matt Edwards, Brandon Neal, Dakota Edwards, Drew Edwards, Brody McKinney, Chuck McKinney and Bob Amundsen.
Visitation will be from 5 PM to 8 PM, Saturday at the church.
