Amory – Bobby Clay “Bob” Roberts, 86, passed away on April 12, 2023, at the OakTree Assisted Living Facility in Amory, MS. Bob was born April 23, 1936, to John C. and Ola Mae Roberts.

He grew up in Columbus, MS and attended MS State University receiving a Master’s Degree in Education. He was employed by the Key West, FL School System for many years before retiring and moving to Amory. He was married to June Smith Roberts, and they had one son, William “Bill” Roberts.

Bob was a friendly and loving person and will be greatly missed by many.

He leaves behind his wife, June Smith Roberts, Amory; son, William Roberts (Carmen); nieces, Tammi and Rebecca. Bob was preceded in death by his parents.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Monday, April 17, 2023, at 2:00 pm at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home in Amory, MS with Rev. Don McCain and Rev. Wesley Pepper officiating. Burial will follow in Haughton Memorial Park, Amory, MS with pallbearers being Buddy Leach, Steven Reeves, Clint Evans, Todd Underwood, Cory Ponder and Terry Mc Cary.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday from 1:00 pm until the service hour at the funeral home.
