Hamilton- Billy E. Hill, 77, died Sunday, January 6, 2013 at The Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo. Born July 31, 1935 in Nettleton, he was a son of the late William and Anna Belle Richardson Hill. He married Patricia Grubbs Hill in 1961.
Billy grew up and attended school in Nettleton. He was a member of Cornerstone Family Fellowship in Amory. He worked as an independent Insurance Salesman. A man trusting in God’s Word, Billy’s Faith was evident up to the final hours of his life. A family man, some of his greatest joys and memories were of times spent with his wife, children and grandchildren whom he enjoyed cooking for. He had a great sense of humor and was a very good story teller. He enjoyed listening to Southern Gospel Music, fishing and hunting with his sons, often taking trips to Colorado elk hunting.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 52 years, Patricia Hill; daughters, Carol Barnett (Ricky), Amory, Leticia Chism (David), Hamilton, Lorie Riddle (Neil), Caledonia; sons, Donny Hill (Beverly), Nettleton, Shawn Hill (Dana), Amory; sisters, Sheila Hill, Belden, and Teresa Hill, Amory; Brother, William Hill Jr., Memphis; 18 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a daughter, Sarah Humbers, and a son, Terry Joe Hill.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 PM, Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at Cornerstone Family Fellowship in Amory with Bro. Malcom Tidwell, Bro. Greg Huguley, and Bro. Charles Petty officiating. Burial will follow in New Prospect Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Buddy Hill, James Cook, Homer Cook, Johnny Cook, David Tidwell, and John Ward.
