Amory- Billy Ray Hall, 59, died Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at NMMC. Born April 9, 1954 in Hayti, MO, he was a son of Travis Hall, Sr. and Flossie Leona Woodward Hall. He married Margaret Sue Knight in 1975.
A faithful man of God, he was a member and deacon at Faith Baptist Church and operated the sound equipment for New Vision 2 gospel group. He was a dedicated employee of United Furniture until his illness and was a member of J.A. Mayfield #165 Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed being with family and friends and was often found at Dirt Cheap shopping. He also enjoyed fishing camping, and hunting.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Sue Knight Hall; sisters, Ripple Bonita Drew, Southaven, MI, Nellie Criddle, Amory, Virginia Hendershot, Hayti, MO, Jane Ross (Newt), Lakeland, FL; brothers, Curt Hall, Melbourne, FL, Travis Hall, St. James, MO, Stanley Blackburn (Reba) and Ronald Blackburn, all of Orlando, Fl; a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Dimple Inez Griggs; brothers, Hubert, James and Ravis Gene Hall.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1pm, Thursday, January 30, 2014 at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home with Bro. Robert Earl Fowlkes, Bro. Joey Goodwin and Bro. Butch Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Greenbrier Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Earnest Knight, Austin Towery, Robert Vaughn, Jr., Jason Knight, Rodney Parish and Ricky Adams. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Gerald Parker, Etness Knight, Voy Cantrell, Bobby Joe Towery, Daniel Gregory, Earl Capps and Warren Smith.
Visitation will be Wednesday evening at the funeral home from 5-8pm.
