Billy Cummings

Amory – Billy Wayne Cummings, 65, died on Saturday, July 2, 2011, at North MS Medical Center, Tupelo. Born on June 2, 1946, in Amory, he was a son of the late Bilbo and Madie Cox Cummings.
Billy was a graduate of Amory High School, Class of 1964. He honorably served his country in the US Army. Billy was a maintenance worker with TRI in Tupelo. He was of the Baptist faith. Billy cherished time spent with his family, especially his nieces and nephews. Having a gentle nature and one who enjoyed being outdoors, Billy loved to fish, play golf, and listen to Country music.
He is survived by his brothers, Tommy Cummings, Aberdeen and Ernest Cummings, Amory; nieces and nephews, Stephanie Cummings; SSgt. Matthew Cummings, US Army; and Dina, Tami and Greg Cummings; and special friends, Rylee Parham, Eli Cummings, and Ty Richards. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jackie Cummings.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10 AM, Wednesday, July 6 at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home with Bro. Chuck Moffett officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Timothy Parish, Bobby Harper, Bobby Cox, Ed Cox, Mike Brasfield, and Jason Edwards.
Visitation will be from 5 – 8 PM, Tuesday at the funeral home.
