Amory – Beverly Belle Pugh, 58, died on Friday, April 12, 2013, at Gilmore Memorial Regional Medical Center. Born on December 11, 1954, in Ypsilanti, MI, she was a daughter of the late Jessie Willard “J. W.” and Maxine Lee Pugh.
Beverly attended Amory schools and graduated from Hatley High School, Class of 1972. Having worked in the steel mill industry and as a cutter in the local furniture industry, Beverly worked at Short Street in Nettleton. She was Baptist. Energetic, hard-working, independent and always putting others first, Beverly enjoyed her family, gardening, antiquing, and Old Rock music.
She is survived by her daughters, Amanda Oliver (Lee) and Emily Harlow of Amory; sisters, Karol Conwill, New Albany, Nina Whitlock, Aberdeen, Charlotte Culver and Laura Howard of Amory; grandchildren, Bella and Jesse Oliver, and Braydon Byrum; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Danny Pugh.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 AM, Monday, April 15 in Haughton Memorial Park with Bro. Kevin Crook officiating. Pallbearers will be Keith, Mark, and Danny Parham; Robert and Joseph Conwill; Cory Cox; and Brandon Bynum. Everyone is asked to meet at 10:40 AM, Monday at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 – 8 PM, Sunday at the funeral home.
