Betty Ann Wright

Nettleton— Betty Ann Wright, 79, passed away Friday, December 21, 2018, at Diversicare Nursing Center in Amory. She was born on November 2, 1939 in Texas.

Betty was of the Pentecostal faith. Her faith and love for God led her in her everyday life. She took great joy in spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening, reading her bible, and finding ways to stay active. She loved listening to gospel music and chatting on the phone. Betty had a wonderful temperament and never met a stranger. She spent much of her time sitting with the elderly and taking care of others. Betty will be missed dearly by her loved ones, but has left behind many memories for her friends and family to cherish forever.

Betty is survived by her grandchildren, Randy Wright (Stephenie), Ashley Wright (Richard Terry), Robyn Wright, Juss Wright, all from Nettleton, James Wright (Carol Payne), Samantha Wright, Riley Wright, and William Allen Wright; great-grandchildren, James Dale Wright, Dixie Lee Haven Wright, Trevor Judd Wright, Dallas Wright, Alexis Wright, Piper Wright; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, James “Jim” Allen Wright; sons, William Allen Wright, Robin Dale Wright; grandchildren, Elizabeth Ann Foss, Christy Wright, Cody Wright; and great-grandson, Joseph Eli Wright.

A funeral service will be held at 3PM Sunday, December 23, 2018 at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home with Bro. Scott Kitchens officiating. Burial will follow at Jones Chapel Cemetery in Nettleton. Pallbearers will include Randy Wright, James Wright, Steven Young, Juss Wright, Jake Laney, and Justin Laney. Donny Gray will serve as an honorary pallbearer.

Visitation will be on Sunday from 1PM until the service hour.
