Becker – Betty Jean Stegall, 78, passed away on Monday, February 16, 2015, at NMMC, Tupelo. Born on February 17, 1936, in Keiser, Arkansas, she was a daughter of the late Eugene Victor and Amanda Jane Sullivan Trimm.

She attended school in Arkansas. On September 27, 1961, Betty married Allen Z. Stegall. Growing up working on the family’s farm, she worked in quality control for Brock Candy Company. After her husband’s retirement in 1983, they moved to Peppertown. She became a homemaker and worked with family at Harold Cain’s Cafe. Very faithful and a devoted Bible reader, Betty was a member of First Baptist Church, Amory. Unselfish and giving, she always put others first and was known for giving Christmas gifts to anyone who had done things for her during the year. Family-oriented, Betty was passionate about her grandchildren and keeping in touch with her friends. She was a great cook who enjoyed sewing, knitting and Gospel music.

Survivors include her daughter, Rachel Ann Stegall, Becker; son, Terry Harrison Brock (Jeri), Amory; sisters, Barbara June Mathis (Jerry), Cordova, TN, Mary Frances Bennett (Randall), Amory, Bea Palazzolo, Florissant, MO, and Joan Reeves (Stanley), Becker; grandchildren, Michael Stegall, Spencer Brock, Kristi Smith, Melissa Phillips, Jessica Brock and Jamie Brock; 4 great-grandchildren; several nieces & nephews; special friends, Betty Ruth Dunn and Ruby Riley.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy Jane Brock; son, Johnny Mack Brock; sister, Ann Lois Edwards; and brothers, Richard Hale, James Edward, Eugene Junior, and Robert Joe Trimm.

A Funeral Service will be held at 3 PM, Wednesday, February 18 at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home, Amory with Bro. Stanley Blaylock and Bro. Coy Hill officiating. Burial will be in Jones Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jamie Knight, Chris Pickle, Mike Reeves, Michael Stegall, Spencer Brock, and Will Reeves.

Visitation will be from 1 - 2:50 PM, Wednesday at the funeral home.
