Amory – Betty Sue Pace, 65, passed away on Wednesday, June 10, 2015, at Merit Health Gilmore RMC. Born on March 1, 1950, in Aberdeen, she was a daughter of the late Willie D. and Nettie Lougene Gosa Pace.
Betty Sue attended Becker School. She had worked as a Nurse’s Aide at the Gilmore Sanatorium, at TIL Sportswear in Aberdeen, lived and worked on a chicken farm in Forest, and worked at Allied Enterprises in Aberdeen before becoming disabled. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church and had been a Sunday school teacher. Passionate about her family, she loved her children and grandchildren. Her enjoyment came from dipping Skoal, going to yard sales and auctions, cleaning her house, dancing, and Country, Rock and Roll, and Oldies music.
Survivors include her daughters, Helen Chavis (James), Smithville and Mary Kyzer, Arkansas; sons, Hank L. Williams, Aberdeen, and Harold G. Williams, Amory; grandchildren, Kristepher Harrelson, Kacey Kyzer, Mia Chavis; great-grandchild, Alaina Paige Harrelson; and several nieces & nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Kren Cantrell, Loucile Edwards, Agnus Edwards (Tiny), Dorothy Brown; brothers, Ray, Willard, Ruben, Curtis “Pete,” Larry, Clinton “Jabo,” and Robert Pace.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2 PM, Saturday, June 13 at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home, Amory with Mr. William Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Harmony Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Curtis, Stanley, and Wendell Pace; Kristepher Harrelson; Wayne Edwards; and Roy Rinehart.
Visitation will be from Noon – 1:50 PM, Saturday at the funeral home.
