Aberdeen – Betty Ann Lee, 76, passed away on Friday, August 28, 2015, at NMMC Hospice, Tupelo. Born on June 5, 1939, in Aberdeen, she was a daughter of the late John Albert Belue and Mable Estelle Bruff Belue Fowlkes.

Betty Ann attended Aberdeen Schools. For 17 years, she worked as a department manager for Wal-Mart in several store areas, and for 10 years, she worked as a sitter with elderly people. A very wonderful and loving lady, Betty Ann was Baptist and was an avid reader of her Bible. Having a big heart, she was passionate about her family, animals, and supporting Veterans’ Affairs, Le Bonheur’s Children’s Hospital, and Cystic Fibrosis research. She loved her flowers, her dog, Chloe, canning, and watching and feeding birds. Betty Ann enjoyed spending time with her close friends watching television, talking, and cooking her special meals for them.

Survivors include her daughters, Nancy V. Horn (Dennis McCrory), Aberdeen, and Linda McCool, Columbus; brothers, Jimmy C. Belue (Rita), Aberdeen, John Belue, Jr., New Albany, Ira Favella, Sturgis, Paul Favella, Prairie, and Danny Favella, Arizona; grandchildren, Brandie Horn, Winter McCrory, Candice Evans, Amber Evans, and Christopher Horn; great-grandchildren, Summer Holley, Sophia Jenkins, Cheyenne Evans, and Scotty, Haley, and Addison Chilcoat; great-great-grandson, Dallas Horn; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Al Poole, Smithville; Mert Mercer, Pat Morris, and Janice Lewis.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sons, Milton and Charles A. Horn; sisters, Nancy Kelly, Nora Belue, and Marie Belue; brother, J. C. Belue; granddaughter, Susan Chilcoat; great-granddaughter, Shelby Chilcoat; a great-great-granddaughter and a great-great-grandson.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, August 30, 2015, at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home, Amory, with Chaplain Mark Thornton officiating. Burial will follow in Hatley Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Christopher Horn, Dennis McCrory, Delbert Jenkins, Joe Belue, Robbie McCrory, and Michael Stidham. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert McCrory and Al Poole.
