Betty Carolyn Hall
Greenwood Springs, MS – Betty Carolyn Easter Hall, 89, became totally healed and was reunited with her husband and son in Heaven on Tuesday, January 9, 2024. She was born on February 26, 1934, in Monroe County, MS, to the late James Easter and Cladie Adams Easter and she lived most of her life in Monroe County, Mississippi.
Betty grew up an only child and graduated as a Seminole from Smithville High School. A wonderful person, loving mother and caring grandmother, Betty blessed her family greatly with her legacy of love. She was a hard working woman and for several years was a seamstress for Glenn Manufacturing in Greenwood Springs, MS. She met the love of her life, Eugene Hall and they were married on September 6, 1952 and God blessed them with two sons and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They enjoyed traveling together and going to church together as they loved the Lord. She was a member of Riggins Chapel Methodist Church in Splunge Mississippi and she enjoyed listening to Gospel music.
Her faith in God is what sustained her in hard times during her life. She poured into others with wisdom and love and expected nothing in return. She loved to cook for others, travel, and just be with some of her many close friends, Rea Knight, Johnnie Wise, Sally and Jack Smith, Mary Lois Minga and Ophelia Norton. Betty was passionate about giving to St. Jude’s Childrens’ Hospital. She also enjoyed sewing, gardening and working in her flowers beds which would product them most beautiful flowers. Of all her accomplishments in life, she was most proud of raising her family.
There is no doubt that she is at peace in the presence of God. Her family is thankful for all the many wonderful years that they had to make memories with her. She will always be in their hearts.
She is survived by her son, Jerry Hall, Splunge; grandchildren, Brandon Hall (Brittne), Christopher Hall (Kristen), Michael Hall (Rachael) and James Hall; great-grandchildren, Christina Shields (T. J.), Evan Hall, Braxton Hall, Britlann Hall, Ashley Hall, Zack Hall; great-great-grandchildren, Luca Howell and Ily Mae Shields; and a host of nieces and nephews.
