Betty Ann Burton Wheeler went to be with her Lord and Savior on 12/19/22 at the age of 89. She was born 10/23/31 White Springs Community-Itawamba County.
She was a graduate of Smithville High School.
Betty started her career as a Cosmetologist owning the Amory Beauty Shop. After many years, she decided to change her profession to Nursing. She graduated from ICC LPN Program then returning to ICC to receive her RN in 1983. She worked many years at Gilmore Memorial Hospital before turning to travel nursing, of which began in Point Barrow Alaska. She took great pride in her passion of helping others.
Her hobbies included being a Master Gardener, volunteering for the Monroe County Extension Service, and was an extensive Genealogist. She was a published author of two books- Itawamba County Cemetery history and Itawamba County Marriage Records.
Preceded in death by her parents- Corrine Cannon Morgan and Ted Burton/stepfather Clyde Morgan, sister Susan Morgan and father of her children Bobby Cruber.
Survived by her husband Frank Wheeler (Eustis Fl.), children William Henry Cruber(Bill), Christina Cox, and Elizabeth Ann Cruber; siblings, Carolyn Clyde Morgan, Sam Morgan (Jan) and Margie Moss (Fred); grandchildren, Eric Cruber, Wesley Cruber, Mark Etheredge, and Will Cox; great-grands, Kahri and Zoei Etheredge; God-daughter, Hope Childers.
Memorial Graveside Service will be held for all friends and family, March 14th, 11am at New Salem Methodist Church.
