Becky Watson

Amory – Becky Watson, 65, died on Tuesday, October 30, 2012, at North MS Medical Center, Tupelo. Born on December 9, 1946, in Amory, she was a daughter of the late Ralph and Lola Bell Taylor Greenhill.

Becky was a graduate of Amory High School, Class of 1965 and a graduate of Vaughn’s Beauty College. On March 9, 1968, she married Vernon Watson. Very caring about her customers, Becky owned and operated Becky’s Beauty Shop for 47 years. A Christian woman of deep faith, she was a member of Lifepointe Church and was always studying scripture. The cornerstone of her family, Becky loved and cared for her family. As a second mother to several, she always had a house full of children. Becky enjoyed her grandchildren and reading.

She is survived by her husband, Vernon Watson, Amory; daughters, Missy Pickle (Chris) and Latitia Young (Patrick) of Amory; sisters, Dorothy Poore and Eva Moon of Amory; brothers, Sonny Greenhill (Jean), Clinton and Doug Greenhill (Patsy), Amory; grandchildren, Dylan and Tyler Young; and Taylor and Georgi Pickle; and several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 PM, Saturday, November3 at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home with Bro. Robbie Westbrook officiating. Burial will follow in Masonic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tommy Greenhill, Chase Pruitt, Joe Wright, Jerry Carter, Jerry Watson, and John Mark Howell.

Visitation will be from 5 – 8 PM, Friday at the funeral home.
