Amory – Claudie Beatrice Tubb, 101, passed away on Wednesday, June 8, 2016, at Golden Living Center. Born on April 24, 1915, in Monroe County, she was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Franklin.
Mrs. Tubb attended Nettleton School. In 1976, she married Albert Isaiah Tubb. Before retiring, she worked in the area garment plants. An active member of New Hope Primitive Church, Mrs. Tubb loved her church and singing church hymns. She was passionate about animals, especially her dog and close companion. A hard-working and strong lady, Mrs. Tubb enjoyed driving into her late 90’s. She enjoyed talking and sharing things, especially from her earlier years, and gardening.
Survivors include her cousins and caregivers, Joyce and Dee Doster, Amory; sisters-in-law, Mildred Franklin, Georgia, and Jeanette Franklin, Okolona; and numerous other cousins.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her step-mom, Molly Franklin; sisters, Bertis Skates and Bertha Mae Harmon; brothers, Abe and Chesley Franklin; and nephew, Carl Harmon.
Her Funeral Service will be held at 1 PM, Friday, June 10, 2016, at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home, Amory, with Elder Tim Cunningham officiating. Burial will follow in Hatley Cemetery. Pallbearers will be men of the church.
Visitation will be from 11:30 AM – 12:50 PM, Friday, at the funeral home.
