New Albany- Barbara Ann Clatyon Mashburn, 74, died Thursday, April 25, 2013 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Columbus. She was born October 7, 1938 in Memphis to the late Charlie and Frances Jackson Clayton. Mrs. Mashburn grew up in and attended school in Memphis. Having a great personality, she was a Customer Service Representative at Wal Mart. A very gentle Christian lady, she enjoyed having a good time with her family, especiall her grandchildren, and friends. She loved taking tending to other peoples needs and taking care of her animals.
She is survived by her daughters, Larisa Estes (James), Greenwood Springs, Bridget Spencer (Ray), Shannon, and Kimberly Marbry, Gulfport; sister, Mildred Gement, Jackson, TN; special aunt, Eunice Carter, New Albany; 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Charlsie Perry and brothers, William Clayton and Johnny James Clayton.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, April 2013 at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home with Bro. Chris Stacks and her son in law Ray Spencer officiating. Burial will follow in Ingomar Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Dinky Key, Danny Key, Jimmy Hurdle, Brian Spencer and Josh Zaragosa.
