Horn Lake – Annie Mae Tignor, 59, passed away on Tuesday, March 20, 2018, at her residence. Born on November 2, 1958, in Smithville, she was a daughter of Nina Kay Knight Morrison and the late L. J. Cox.
Annie was an Honors graduate of Smithville High School, Class of 1976. On May 24, 1996, she married Richard Tignor. Loving her Lord with a strong faith, Annie was a member of Goodman Road Baptist Church since 2002, and for 6 years, she was the Pee Wee Patch teacher for 2-5 year olds. Having a love for children, she helped shape their young lives.
She worked in accounts receivable at FedEx. Passionate about her grandchildren, Annie loved spending time with them. Enjoying being outdoors, Annie could often be found on a creek bank fishing with Rick. A wonderful lady who was loving, caring, and very compassionate, she was always happy and dearly loved her family. She leaves a great legacy with her family.
She is survived by her loving husband of 22 years, Rick Tignor, Horn Lake; daughters, Alonnah Gail Casey and Dawn Lynn Tignor; sons, Christopher Lee and Brian Edward Adams; Sister, Linda Kay Weeks, Houlka; Brother, Edward “Ed” Jerome Cox (Barbara), Smithville; grandchildren, Brianna, Bella, Dominic Adams; Davin Nelson; Brandon Adams; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Rheba Manning, Toni Clay, Darla Boucher and Charlsetta.
Along with her father, she was preceded in death by a grandchild, Kaden.
Her Funeral Service will be held at 1 PM, Saturday, March 24, 2018, at Goodman Road Baptist Church, 4368 Goodman Rd. West, Horn Lake, 38637, with Bro. Phil Pinkston and Bro. Jim Gatlin officiating. Visitation will be from 11-12:50 PM prior to the service.
Her Graveside Service will be held at 4:30 PM, Saturday, in Pearce Chapel Cemetery.
