Amory – Annie Ophelia Frederick, 94, died on Friday, September 2, 2011, at Gilmore Memorial Regional Medical Center. She was born on May 13, 1917, in the Parham Community.
Mrs. Frederick attended Hatley School. She lived in Hatley before moving to Amory in 2003. Retiring in 1979, Mrs. Frederick was an inspector with Red Kap in Hatley. She was a faithful member of Christian Chapel Church of Christ. Mrs. Frederick loved to cook, enjoyed visiting with and helping other people, gardening, reading her Bible, and listening to Gospel music.
She is survived by her sons, Gene Frederick (Ethrene), Fulton and Jimmy Frederick (Joyce), Aberdeen; sisters, Marie Verotti, Hemet, CA, Verdean Sharp, Copperas Cove, TX, Judy Cox and Jewel Levy, Cantonment, FL, Linda Hughes, Jumpertown, O’Clay Sloan, Amory, and Mattie Upton, Hatley; brother, William Riley Frederick, Hatley; grandchildren, Patricia Graham (Roy), Alene Frederick, and Ashley Frederick; 3 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 sisters, and 2 brothers.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 4 PM, Sunday, September 4, 2011, at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home with Bro. David Highland officiating. Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Visitation will be from 6 – 8 PM, Saturday at the funeral home.
