Smithville – Annie Sue Faulkner, 87, passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2015, at her residence. Born on October 24, 1927, in Fulton, she was a daughter of the late Chandler and Maye Crouch Hutchinson.
Mrs. Faulkner attended Smithville School. On October 22, 1946, she married Leonard “Bud” Faulkner. Employed in the garment industry as a seamstress, she retired as a supervisor after 45 years of service. She was a member of Smithville Church of Christ. Taking care of family, especially her sons and granddaughter, and always making sure others were well taken care of was most important to Mrs. Faulkner. She was passionate about donating to St. Jude and supporting organizations for disabled individuals. Mrs. Faulkner enjoyed the many visits from close friends and family; cooking; listening to Gospel and Country music; and watching the Fulton Gospel station and “Dancing with the Stars.”
Survivors include her sons, Lynn Faulkner and Teddy Faulkner (Judy), of Smithville; brother, Bill Hutchinson (Pat), Montgomery, AL; granddaughter, April Faulkner Hathcock (Dustin), Saltillo; a host of nieces & nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband of 68 years, she was preceded in death by a sister, Charlie Hutchinson Williams.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2 PM, Wednesday, April 1 at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home, Amory with Mr. Clyde Mize and Bro. Wes White officiating. Burial will follow in Young Memorial Garden in Smithville, MS. Pallbearers will be Scott Morgan, Tim Coker, Ricky Williams, Jim Herren, Darwin Hathcock, and Alex Sargent. Honorary pallbearers will be C. D. “Boosie” Leech, Roy Cummings, and Billy Waddle.
Visitation will be from 5 - 8 PM, Tuesday at the funeral home in Amory.
