Wren – Annie Sue Pearson Adams, 80, passed away on Wednesday, June 21, 2017, at Diversicare in Amory. Born on January 3, 1937, in Okolona, MS, she was a daughter of the late Houston and Lena Gray Strawhorn.
Sue graduated from Okolona High School and Vaughn’s Beauty College. She was of the Baptist faith and was blessed by God with six children. Sue was a loving mother and great provider for her family. She was a retired seamstress for Amory Garment Co. and Delta Trousers, Okolona. Some of her close friends at work were Bobbie Rooker and Maddie Warren.
Sue enjoyed life, the outdoors and spending quality time with her family. She especially liked playing “bingo” with her daughters while hanging out at the VFW in Aberdeen and Tupelo. Very talented with her hands, she quilted and made ceramics. She enjoyed traveling, especially trips to places like Branson, MO, Gatlinburg, TN, and Gettysburg, PA. Sue enjoyed bargain hunting at flea markets. She liked to listen to relaxing music such as Lawrence Welk and instrumental pieces. She leaves behind a legacy of love for her family to cherish forever.
Survivors include daughters Patricia Rawson, Peppertown; Mary Walters, Aberdeen; Cathy McLevain, Fulton: Lois Ann Vanderwoude, Louisiana; sister, Eva Hatcher, Wren; brother, Harold Strawhorn, Amory; 24 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her 2 husbands, Lester Pearson and Bobby Adams; sons, Michael and Jimmy Pearson; step-daughter, Misty Adams; sister, Doris Coggin.
Her Funeral Service will be 2:00 PM, Sunday, June 25 at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home, Amory, with Bro. Robert Earl Fowlkes officiating. Burial will be in Wren Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Michael Morris, Joshua Brown, Hollis Ray Brown, Jr., Brandon Conway, Anthony Morris, Chris Edwards, and Aaron and Gage Parker.
Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 PM, Saturday, June 24 the funeral home.
