Ann Noe

Smithville – Ann Conwill Noe, 69, passed away on Thursday, April 28, 2016, at Merit Health Gilmore Memorial Hospital. Born on January 18, 1947, in Amory, she was a daughter of the late Harold Howard Conwill, Sr., and Dora Lee Rea Conwill.

Ann attended Amory High School. In 1965, she married the love of her life, Johnny Owen Noe and they were blessed with two children. Ann was a homemaker and often worked as a substitute teacher at West Amory Elementary School. A humble and quiet lady, she was a longtime member of Pearce Chapel Free Will Baptist Church. One who dearly loved her family, Ann was a sweet and loving mother and grandmother; she loved spoiling her grandchildren. Having a huge heart, she was passionate about helping her neighbors and others in need. Ann enjoyed the outdoors and camping at Nettleton Club Lake, where many wonderful family memories were made. She loved going to yard sales and auctions where she would often find treasures. Some of her most favorite shopping trips involved going to Memphis with her sister where they would load the van with no room to spare. Ann also enjoyed collecting antiques, cooking, and canning vegetables. Ann lived life to the fullest and her loving spirit will live on with her family and friends.

She is survived by her children, Vicki Noe Hendrik and Johnny O. “John” Noe, Jr., of Smithville; siblings, Glenda (Bobby) Cox and Harold “Sonny” Conwill, Jr., of Amory; grandchildren, Anna Elizabeth and John Michael Hendrik; aunts, Ruth Farrar, Sarah Bratton, and Christine Carpenter; uncle, James Conwill of Amory; nieces, Christy Cox (Ted) Little and Melissa Cox Thompson; great-niece and nephews, Austin (Bri) Pearson; Cole and Ellie Thompson; Logan Little; and several cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Owen Noe, Sr.

Her Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, at the Smithville Chapel of E. E. Pickle Funeral Home with Bro. Wes White and Pastor John Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Pearce Chapel Cemetery, Smithville. Pallbearers will be Brad Stevens, Scott Morgan, Phil Leech, Lynn Cox, Bill Leech, Coleman Leech, Caleb Leech and Punkin Moore. Honorary Pallbearers will Leonard “Rerun” Whitley, Jr., Joe Hendrik, Phil Goodwin, and Robin Frederick.
