Amory – Eula Ann Carroll Miller, 89, began her new life in heaven on Sunday, August 21, 2022. Ann was born on July 16, 1933, in Georgia to the late Douglas Carroll and Laura Tomblin Carroll.

Ann moved with her family to Alabama at an early age. She attended High School in Alabama, graduating from Auburndale High School. She furthered her education at IJC/Itawamba Community College in Tupelo where she graduated from Nursing School and obtained her LPN certification. She worked for over 35 years at Gilmore Memorial Hospital in Amory as a nurse. Ann helped take care of many residents of Monroe County and she enjoyed her work serving the public. She was hard working, outgoing, and funny, often times making the patients more comfortable.

She was blessed with five children and six grandchildren. Ann loved her family dearly and always liked to take road trips. She believed in the Lord, was of the Baptist faith, and liked to listen to Gospel, Country and Elvis. Ann was also passionate about the American Cancer Society. She also loved animals. In her down time, she loved to read, do puzzles and play computer games.

Of all the things in life she enjoyed, most of all, she loved her family and she was proud of her family. They feel blessed to have such a wonderful mom and grandma for so many years. She will never be forgotten and the memories made will be cherished.

She is survived by her children, Regina Bowen (James), Amory, Jo Ann Thornhill, VA, Roberta “Robbie” Tubb (Preston), Amory, and Willis Joe Allredge (Kim), Amory; grandchildren, Jamie Bowen, Tammy Flippo, Laura Bryson, Stephanie Thornhill, Thomas Thornhill, and Stephen Thornhill; and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Miller; her daughter, Pamela Capps; grandson, Douglas Capps; sisters, Peggy Rogers and Naomi Carr; brothers, Steve Childers, John Carroll, and Douglas Carroll; and step-daughter, Lucy Howell.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at 2:00 PM at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home, Amory, MS, with Bro. Bill Monaghan officiating. Burial will follow in Haughton Memorial Park in Amory. Pallbearers will be Keith Shaddix, Ed Shaddix, Robert Sanderson, Sanford Tubb, Ty Reeves, and Ben Reeves.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday evening from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home in Amory.
