Anita Gail Zimmerman

Aberdeen – Anita Gail Gray Zimmerman, 49, died on Sunday, September 14, 2014, at her residence in Aberdeen. Born on September 4, 1965, in Amory, she was a daughter of the late Charlie Gray and Juanita Vick Gray.

Zimmerman attended Hatley High School and on April 13, 1996, she married Robert Zimmerman. For many years, Zimmerman worked for Amory Garments factory as a seamstress. She was a supportive, kind, and loving mother and wife. She loved to cook, spend time with her family, plant flowers, and listen to rock and roll music. Besides her family, Zimmerman enjoyed spending time with close friends Cindy Ausborn and Buddy Howell.

In addition to her parents and grandparents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Tony Gray.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Zimmerman, Aberdeen; three daughters, Nicole (Cole) Doster of Amory, Autumn Zimmerman of Aberdeen, and Robin Zimmerman of Aberdeen; brother, Glenn (Gail) Gray, Nettleton; grandchildren, Nicholas Doster, Amory, Raven Doster, Amory; and several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10 AM, Wednesday, September 17, at Greenbriar Cemetery, Amory with Bro. Eddie Gray officiating. Pallbearers will be Nathan Gray, Anthony Gray, Joe McClure, JK McClure, Thomas Gray, Blake Gray, and Autumn Zimmerman. Honorary Pallbearer will be Buddy Howell.

Visitation will be from 8 – 9:45 AM, Wednesday at the funeral home.
